Hva skjer når to musikere fra det klassiske konservatoriet bestemmer seg for å skape musikk som popgruppe? De utfordrer forutinntatte tanker og klisjeer med instrumentene sine. Med fargerike og livlige melodier, fra drømmende lydatmosfære til høye toner og tidvis moderne atmosfærer. Prosjektet «Tourne Sol», eller Solsikke, er en duo som kombinerer trekkspill, kontrabass og musikernes vokal. Enten solsikken snur seg vekk eller vender mot solen, er den et symbol på en verden som «snur seg» mer og mer mot åpenhet, nonkonformisme, og fremfor alt er den et symbol på håp.

What happens when two musicians from the very classical conservatory decide to create in the manner of a pop group? They sweep away all the preconceived ideas and clichés on their instruments. Thanks to an astonishing complicity, they reveal their songs with colourful and lively melodies, moving from dreamlike sound atmospheres to squeaky and sometimes gently contemporary atmospheres… The project «Tourne Sol» is a duo that connects the accordion, the double bass and the voices of the musicians. Whether the « tournesol » (sunflower) turns back or faces the suns, it doesn’t matter afterall, the « tournesol » (sunflower) is the symbol of a world that turns to openness, nonconformism and above all a symbol of hope.
